Eagle Arms: Shine Your Heart

Namaste friends and fellow yogis
Eagle arms can do wonders for your upper body. By wrapping your arms and squeezing your shoulder blades together you're giving your shoulders and upper back a much-needed and much-appreciated stretch. When we spend most of our time with our arms up, and punching at a computer.  Plus this pose can help alleviate any stiffness or tension in these areas, so you can feel as light and free as a feather.

But my friend the benefits don't stop there. Eagle arms can also improve your posture and your alignment. This becomes very important if you're hunched over a computer all day, or scrolling through your phone (no judgment we've all been there).

We never want to end our story without mentioning the amazing mental health benefits. As you are holding Eagle arms, you'll be focusing on your breath, and calming your mind. This can be especially helpful if you're feeling anxious or stressed out. So, take a deep breath in, wrap those arms, and let the tension melt away like ice cream on a hot summer day.

Now, I know some of you might be thinking, "I'm not flexible enough for Eagle arms!" Well, let me tell you something flexibility is not key to Yoga. I will let you in on a little secret. Flexibility is taught, and earned with a regular practice of yoga.

Why not give Eagle Arms a try? By practicing Eagle arms regularly, you'll stand tall and proud just like an eagle perched on a branch. If you're wondering where you can learn all about these amazing poses.  Now is the time to give Edge Yoga School a read.  We have so many amazing programs to offer you. We can't wait to meet you!
